Antique Late Victorian paste riviere necklace 1860's-1890's This item is a pink rivière-style collet necklace, a timeless design featuring a continuous strand of graduated, individually set gemstones. Design and Characteristics Style: Riviere (or Rivière), characterized by a seamless loop of stones that subtly decrease in size from the center out toward the clasp, forming a continuous shimmering strand designed to sit gracefully along the collarbone. Stones: Large, faceted oval glass crystal stones in a vibrant pink topaz hue. Setting: Silver open-backed collet claw settings and bezels linked together. Metal has been tested as silver.
