It exhibits a dark base color (often black or gray) with a full spectrum of iridescent colors, including blue, green, yellow, orange, and red, caused by light scattering within the mineral. While other labradorites may show less intense colors, Spectrolite is specifically mined in Finland and is renowned for its unique and strong labradorescence.
